The Shire Archery Lieutenant is responsible for overseeing the safe practice of both target archery and combat archery at SCA activities. The archery marshal helps to facilitate the inclusion of target archery activities at local events and also teaches safe archery practices to the populace. The Archery Lieutenant also helps oversee the practice of combat archery on the armored list field, in conjunction with the marshal in charge of armored activities.
