Activities for the month of June were discussed at last week’s business meeting. They can be viewed on the meetings page. Also, we have a project day scheduled for June 28 (Saturday) with the option to finish on Sunday. We will be building chest benches, a great camping accessory. This will be held at a private residence, so email the seneschal for more information.
And don’t forget, June 14 is the Mid-Summer Knights Festival at Christ Episcopal Church. We will be participating in the festival by demonstrating various activities for the visitors. Check out the demos page for more details.
We will be holding our first Project Day of the new year on Saturday, February 15 at 10 am. Our task of the day is banner making. Lord Rickard and Lady Genevieve will be hosting at their home, so if you are interested in attending, please contact Rickard (sca_rickard[at]yahoo[dot]com).
It’s that time of year again – we are holding our annual Winter Revel on January 18 at the Pioneer Pavilion in Youngstown, OH. This is a free event. Just bring a food item to share along with feast gear and wear your garb. There will be a silent auction, so feel free to bring any items you wish to donate. There will be dancing and music, games and socializing. It’s a great event for newcomers. Hope to see you there.
Due to the busy holiday season, the meeting for December 17 has been cancelled. We are not meeting at the church December 17, 24, or 31. Please join us on January 7 for the first business meeting of the new year.
The schedule for the next two months is available on the Meetings page. We are going to have dancing twice a month during the winter on the first and third Tuesdays.
Don’t forget! Fall Bransle is scheduled for November 16 at Christ Episcopal Church from 3 pm to 10 pm. Garb, feasting, dancing, gaming. A great time for new members, friends, family. No charge. More info under the “events” heading above.
Get out those projects and bring them to Saxon Summer!
On Saturday from 11 am to 3 pm we will be having an A&S display in the Main Hall. All are welcome to participate. Just bring whatever current project you are working on – finished or in progress. Feel free to stay by your items to answer questions. Or just pop over to find out what others have been up to.
Also, Lady Donata will be on hand to answer questions during that time about the A&S 50 Challenge.
