Spring Training VIII  will host the North Oaken A&S Regional Faire on  Sunday, April 1, 2017.

GENERAL INFORMATION

 

Event cost is $10 per adult, $5 per SCA member adult, minors are free.
Feast cost is $10 per person and is limited to 40 people. Pre-registration for feast is recommended (seats might not be available on the day of the event).To pre-register, send preregistration by March 25th to:

Although the focus of the day is on the A&S Faire activities, we will still have lots of time for relaxing, eating, dancing, combat practice, crafting, and playing games. There is plenty of both indoor and outdoor space so feel free to bring day camp setups. Site is wet, candle friendly, and wheelchair accessible; however, there are no showers.

SATURDAY SCHEDULE

 

8 am – Doors Open for staff
9 am to 3 pm – Breakfast/Lunch Sideboard (Included with Price of Admission)
10 am to 5 pm – Thrown Weapons Range Open
10 am to 5 pm – Dancing and Open Games
10 am to 5 pm – Armored Combat
11 am to 5 pm – Archery Range Open
5 pm to 8 pm – Feast

BREAKFAST/LUNCH SIDEBOARD

 

The Breakfast/Lunch Sideboard will be available on Saturday from 9 am until 3 pm (or until the food runs out) in the Great Hall. Light continental breakfast and soup/bread lunch food items will be provided pot-luck style by the members of the Shire of Rivenvale. You are also welcome to bring your own food. Tables will be setup to provide a place to eat and relax between other activities.

MARSHALED ACTIVITIES

 

We have Armored, Archery, and Thrown Weapons marshals coming and willing to arrange for some fun. Be sure to bring your gear! Since Marshaled Activities will be held outdoors, they will only be held if weather permits. Contact the Event Steward if in doubt.

If you are a marshal of another area, we are on a 10 acre site so we do have plenty of outdoor space available.

Armored Combat, and Thrown Weapons: Details TBD.

Rapier Combat: Sorry…this activity had to be cancelled.

Archery: Will run a SPACCS shoot (Standard Pennsic Archery Champions Style Shoot). The shoot is designed to challenge archers to focus on small target areas in preparation for the Pennsic Archer Champions shoot. The shoot consists of three stations; friend/foe station at 30 yards, wand station at 20 yards, and ground target station at: 5, 10, and 15 yards.
